Gabe Maharjan is a Montreal-based trans actor and theatre creator of mixed Nepali and Ashkenazi descent. Their recent credits include playing Haemon in Raise the Stakes’ Antigone, Eddie in The Last Wife as part of Imago’s “Her Side” festival, and Kyle in KaleidoscopeMTL’s fringe play, Memento Mori. Gabe voices Hayao in Epsilon Games’ Primus Vita.

Gabe is currently in the Acting Stream of the Black Theatre Workshop’s Artist Mentorship Program, as well as Playwrights’ Workshop Montreal’s Young Creators Unit. They made their directorial debut in September, when they co-produced Rajiv Joseph’s Gruesome Playground Injuries (Playground Productions). They graduated from the Dome (class of ’17), where they played Claudio in Much Ado, Little Charles in August: Osage County, Paul Rockett and Gwen Araujo in Rebel Daughter (a collective re- creation which they were the lead writer of), as well as the titular role in Euripides’s Hippolytos.
